Speech Therapist, Per Diem
Job Summary
Join Wentworth-Douglass Hospital/MGB in Dover, NH and be part of our Speech Therapy department. We have a per diem position available; minimum of 12 hours per month required on weekends (2 days) with increased hours as coverage needs increase & per census. Summary Acute Care experience required. Responsible to assess, diagnose, treat and help prevent speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and other related disorders in acute care setting as part of experienced team. Two weekend days/month required. Prefer at least 1 year prior experience in this setting.
Essential Functions
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to identify speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
- Implement treatment plans through a variety of techniques and modalities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about speech and language disorders, and provide strategies for improving communication.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient outcomes.
Qualifications
- Education: Master's Degree in Speech Therapy required.
- Licenses and Credentials: NH Speech-language Pathologist license required, Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] required, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology [CCC-SLP] - American Speech Language Hearing Association required, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology [CCC-A] - American Speech Language Hearing Association preferred.
