About the role
Manhattan Children’s Center is a world-class educational and therapeutic facility for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders. Students ages 5 - 21 years and their families are supported through a transdisciplinary model. Responsibilities
- Work with a caseload of 11 students who receive 3 30-minute sessions a week.
- Case manage assigned students, including required documentation such as individual and group attendance, individual treatment notes, IEP documentation, supplementary documentation pertaining to communication assessments, semi-annual progress reports; and when requested, student transition surveys and/or discharge reports.
- Consult with parents, teachers, therapists, and other health care professionals to discuss strategies, review treatment plans and activities to facilitate the students’ optimal functioning in home, school, social, and play environments.
- Develop and conduct appropriate presentations/staff in-services to enhance staff’s professional development.
- Conduct annual assessments and identification/formulation of goals for students on caseload.
- Opportunity to supervise graduate level student clinicians for their graduate student externship after working as a Staff SLP after a minimum of 3 years post clinical fellow year.
- Participate in CSE/IEP meetings for all students on caseload, and participate in hearings (e.g., in person, affidavit) for students on caseload, if required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Current New York State Speech Therapy License.
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certified preferred and meeting Ethical Standards.
- TSSLD Certified preferred.
- Strong CF candidates will be considered.

Pay
$78,000-$81,000 based on education, experience, and certifications.

Mon through Thurs 8:15 am-4:15 pm; Fri 8:15am – 3:00pm
