About the Role

Provides diagnosis and treatment of complex communication disorders, including voice, swallowing, and neurological impairments, for adults and children. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and supports community programs. Oversees entry-level staff, collaborates with physicians on treatment plans, and participates in staff development and interdisciplinary team consultations.

Responsibilities

  • Administers diagnostic tests, develops individualized treatment plans, and advises physicians and caregivers on results.
  • Trains junior therapists, monitors contract therapists, and supports community programs.
  • Develops and maintains departmental policies, ensures regulatory compliance, and identifies opportunities for service improvements.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years' experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • California Speech-Language Pathologist License, National Provider Identifier, and Clinical Competence Certificate.
  • Basic Life Support certification required.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
