Responsibilities
- Help patients communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits
- Take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services
- Design the plan and work with patients to execute those plans
- Address the whole patient and see them as an individual
- Design a program that will restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' speech and communication abilities
- Adapt to the needs of the patient
- Handle a variety of work and settings, from cleaning equipment to reporting to meetings
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need
- Train patients and caregivers on the skills they need to promote independence and productivity
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
Pay
USD $40.00 - USD $47.00 /Hr.
