About the role
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you help patients get their power back. You are the person who can help people communicate, swallow, and work to diminish or remediate disorders or deficits. In doing this, you take responsibility for the effective and efficient delivery of rehab services, you design the plan, and work with patients to execute those plans.
Responsibilities
- Design programs that restore, reinforce, and enhance patients' speech and communication abilities
- Address the whole patient as an individual
- Adapt to the needs of the patient across various settings
- Clean equipment and report to meetings as needed
- Collaborate with peers and make referrals to help patients get the care they need
- Train patients and caregivers on skills to promote independence and productivity
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Disorders, Communicative Disorders or similarly-titled area that is consistent and acceptable to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
- Licensed, certified or credentialed, as required in the state of practice
Pay
USD $41.80 - USD $55.00 /Hr.
Bonus
USD $20,000.00 retention bonus
