About the role
The Speech Language Pathologist will perform speech language pathology services (both evaluation and treatment) as assigned by the manager/director. They will work in a skilled nursing environment, making a significant difference in the lives of patients and direct care staff.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient evaluations and develop treatment plans, including short-term and long-term goals, consistent with physician orders and appropriate for the patient’s overall medical condition.
- Carry out patient care plans or portions thereof, determining appropriate progression of patients within the realm of the established care plan.
- Perform tests and complex treatments individually or with assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with occupational therapists, physical therapists, physicians and other members of the healthcare team relative to individual patient treatment programs and progress.
- Document patient evaluations, treatment progress notes, and discharge summaries for the patient’s medical records in a timely manner as defined by the department policy manual.
- Provide a full range of speech therapy modalities consistent with previous education, experience and clinical needs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or in the process of licensure in this state.
- Current basic Life Support certification in accordance state regulations.
- Must be clinically driven, dependable, and self-motivated.
- Must have at least 1 year experience in a skilled nursing facility, preferred.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions and accept constructive criticism.
- Must possess leadership ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
- Must possess good judgement and can maintain highly confidential information.
- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements.
- Licensure: Colorado SLP licensure and Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.

$48.00 - $58.00 / Hour depending on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
Full-time or Part-time - Variable Shift based on 80% productivity.
