About the role
NHC HealthCare Bristol is currently seeking an ASHA Certified Speech Language Pathologist SLP to join the rehab team on a PRN basis.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in evidence based dysphagia treatment techniques is preferred.
- Provide speech-language therapy services to patients in the skilled nursing facility setting.
- Assess and treat patients with various speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physicians, nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and social workers.
- Document progress notes and treatment sessions accurately and timely.
Requirements
- Must have a Master’s degree from an approved curriculum in Speech Pathology or its equivalent.
- Must have a Virginia Speech Therapist license and Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association.
- Must be flexible and reliable.
- Prior experience in a skilled nursing facility is preferred.
Qualifications
- ASHA Certification is required.
