About the role
Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans in speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing. Provide services across the continuum, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities
- Implement and revise treatment plans with patient and family input
- Provide patient and family education, discharge instructions, and referrals
- Assess patients in collaboration with physicians, establishing and evaluating treatment goals and discharge plans
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and discharge information according to departmental standards
- Adhere to ethical practices, maintain confidentiality, and ensure safety and infection control
- Communicate effectively with team members and participate in staff activities
- Engage in professional development, maintain licensure, and support new employee training
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program
- Licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist
- BLS certification
