Speech Pathologist, PRN

Role: The Speech Language Pathologist evaluates patients and develops individualized care plans addressing speech, language, voice, cognition, and swallowing, collaborating with physicians. Responsibilities: Implements therapy plans, selects appropriate activities, revises goals with patient input, provides education, and ensures discharge planning and referrals. Conducts patient assessments, establishes treatment and discharge plans, and documents evaluations and sessions per guidelines. Acts as a resource for staff, families, and physicians regarding rehabilitation services. Maintains ethical standards, confidentiality, punctuality, and effective communication. Participates in staff meetings, training, and quality improvement activities. Strives to deliver excellent customer service, fostering a positive environment and applying service recovery principles. Engages in ongoing professional development, completes required competencies, and participates in orientation for new staff. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech Pathology from an accredited program, valid SLP license, and BLS certification are required. Effective communication, customer service orientation, teamwork, and basic computer skills are essential.
