About the role
Provides diagnostic, therapeutic and consultative services to patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders. Serves as an integral member of the interdisciplinary care team.
Responsibilities
- Reviews patient information before evaluations and during course of treatment.
- Conducts and documents comprehensive patient assessments.
- Assists in data collection of patient outcomes.
- Instructs and directs support staff, as outlined in national and state Practice Acts.
- Supervises assistants and support staff.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's Degree or foreign equivalent: Required
- Speech Pathologist licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required (facility specific)
Qualifications
- Two years' speech language pathology experience: Preferred
- American Speech-Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC): Preferred
Pay
$39.05 to $58.53 per hour. Additional individual compensation may be available through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc.
Schedule
Full time, day shift, 8-hour shifts.
