Speech Pathologist- Pediatric Therapy (FT- 0.9 FTE, Day Shift)

Position Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist provides assessment and treatment of speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders, implements speech and language programs or activities and monitors the use of alternative communication devices and systems.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Montana Licensure (Speech Pathologist)
• American Heart Association BLS
• PREFERRED: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology
• PREFERRED: 2 years’ experience in hospital and/or pediatrics

Essential Job Functions

• Counsels and assesses clients through screenings and assessments including but not limited to language, cognitive, speech, phonatory, feeding and swallowing, etc.
• Develops and implements treatment plans or protocols and delivers treatments.
• Monitors clients' progress towards treatment objectives.
• Remediate or develop speech and language skills.
• Prepares materials, keeps records, maintains supplies, and schedules activities.
• Collects and compiles data to document client's performance and assess program quality.
• Selects and/or prepares speech-language instructional materials.
• Tests and maintains equipment to ensure performance.
• Conducts in-service training sessions and family and community education programs.
• Prepares charts, graphs, and other visual displays to communicate client's performance information.
• Conducts speech-language research projects.
