Speech Pathologist or Clinical Fellow

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence · Watertown, NY · 1 mo ago
Healthcare$33.11–$44.7/hrFull-time
We need to produce HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The posting includes summary/objective, essential functions, competencies, etc. We need to decide sections: maybe "About the role" (summary/objective), "Responsibilities" (essential functions), "Qualifications" (list of qualifications), "Skills" (competencies), "Benefits" (sign on bonus, wage range?), "Pay" (wage range), "Schedule" (Monday-Friday, minimum 40 hours per week). Also "Benefits" could include sign-on bonus. We must only include sections when posting has real specific content. We have content for all. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. We must use

for section headings. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We must preserve all substantive info, not invent or summarize away detail. Remove boilerplate (EEO, etc). Also remove duplicated lines, application instructions. We need to include sign-on bonus details: "$10,000 - Full time Licensed Speech Pathologist payable in equal installments over 5 years. $2,000 after 1 year & then annually thereafter." Wage range: "$33.11-$44.70/ Hour, based on education and years of experience in the field." Position Type/Expected Hours: "Monday-Friday, minimum 40 hours per week; flexible to the needs of the program" Qualifications: list bullet points. Responsibilities: essential functions list. Competencies: list. Benefits: sign-on bonus maybe also mention maintenance of certifications? That's more requirement. Benefits could be sign-on bonus only. Pay: wage range. Schedule: hours. We must not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience". We have actual numbers. We need to ensure we don't include duplicated lines. The posting repeats some lines about continuing competency etc. We need to include that info under Qualifications? Actually it's under "Maintenance of Certifications". That's a qualification requirement. Could be part of Qualifications or a separate section "Certifications". But we only have allowed headings: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. The list includes Requirements and Qualifications both. We can use Qualifications for qualifications, and maybe Requirements for certification maintenance? But we need to decide. Better to use Qualifications for the list of required qualifications (license, certifications, experience). Then maybe Requirements for the maintenance of certifications and continuing education? However the posting includes "Maintenance of Certifications - All therapists are responsible for maintaining their own certifications: NYS and ASHA." That's a requirement. Could be under Qualifications as well. But we have both headings; we could put certification maintenance under Qualifications as part of list. But we also have "Work Authorizations/Security Clearance - Authorized to work in the United States." That's a requirement. We could have a section "Requirements" for things like work authorization, maintenance of certifications, etc. And "Qualifications" for education/license/experience. But the instruction: "Use

for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule)." So we can choose any of those. We need to avoid thin sections. Let's combine similar items. Potential sections: - About the role (summary/objective) - Responsibilities (essential functions) - Qualifications (license, certifications, experience, education) - Skills (competencies) - Benefits (sign-on bonus) - Pay (wage range) - Schedule (hours) We can omit Requirements if we put everything under Qualifications. But we have "Work Authorizations/Security Clearance" which is not a qualification but a requirement. Could be included in Qualifications as a bullet: "Authorized to work in the United States." Similarly maintenance of certifications could be a bullet under Qualifications: "Responsible for maintaining NYS and ASHA certifications, including fees and continuing education requirements." Thus we can have Qualifications covering all. Thus sections: About the role, Responsibilities, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Now we need to extract prose for About the role: The summary/objective paragraph: "Ensure appropriate justification and delivery of all clinical services provided to children and adults supported at The Arc Jefferson St. Lawrence. Adhere to professional, ethical and legal standards of practice as well as all agency specific policies and procedures. May be required to complete evaluations and treatments for adults (Article 16 Clinic) and children." We can put that as

. Responsibilities: list of essential functions. Many bullet points. We'll create

    • for each. Qualifications: list bullet points: Licensed by NYSED as Speech Pathologist; Provisional certification as NYS Teacher of the Speech and Hearing Handicapped or NYS Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD); Specialized training or one year experience in treatment of people with developmental disabilities preferred; Certificate of Clinical Competency by ASHA; Work may require lifting, pushing, or pulling, in excess of 30 pounds; Maintenance of Certifications - All therapists are responsible for maintaining their own certifications: NYS and ASHA. This includes all fees to NYS and ASHA. All therapists are responsible for filing for permanent certification for teaching after all requirements are met. Article 159, Section 8209 of Education Law requires that speech-language pathologists complete 30 continuing competency hours in each three-year registration period to maintain their registration. Each licensed speech-language pathologist and audiologist in practice is required to complete 30 hours of continuing competency learning activities during every three-year registration cycle. Of these 30 hours, at least 20 must be completed in a professional area, and the remainder may be in a related area. Professional is defined for speech language pathologists as: the study of normal processes, and the assessment and treatment of speech, voice, language, hearing and swallowing disorders. The ASHA certification Maintenance Standards require that all CCC-SLP certificate holders must accumulate 30 Certificate Maintenance Hours (CMHs) of professional development during each 3-year certification maintenance interval in order to maintain their ASHA Certificates of Clinical Competence (CCC). Requirements for maintaining your CCCs: Submit your Compliance Form to verify your 30 professional development hours, abide by the ASHA Code of Ethics, maintain affiliation by paying annual dues or the annual certification fee. Work Authorizations/Security Clearance - Authorized to work in the United States. We need to keep all that info but not too verbose? We must preserve all substantive information. So we need to include all those details. Could be long but okay. Skills: competencies list: Exhibit ethical and professional conduct at all times; Excellent time management, organizational, communication and training skills; Protect and maintain confidentiality at all times; Detail oriented; Proficient with the use of multiple computer programs; Personal Effectiveness/Credibility; Supervisory Responsibility - May be required to provide supervision for the completion of a person’s Clinical Fellowship (CFY). Benefits: sign-on bonus details. Pay: wage range. Schedule: Monday-Friday, minimum 40 hours per week; flexible to the needs of the program. We also have Travel: "Travel is expected for this position. This could include county to county travel, home visits, school and/or county meetings, conferences and trainings." That could be part of Responsibilities or a separate section? Not in allowed headings. Could be included under Responsibilities as a bullet. Work Environment, Physical Demands, Other Duties, etc. Those could be part of Responsibilities or maybe we could add a section "Work Environment" but not allowed headings. So we incorporate into Responsibilities. We must not include boilerplate like EEO statement, etc. Now produce HTML fragment. We need to ensure we don't repeat job title. We'll output something like:
