Speech Pathologist - Fox Hospital, Per Diem

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, voice, swallowing, language, and social/cognitive communication disorders.
• Work directly with individuals in various settings such as acute care, nursing homes, short-term rehabilitation, and outpatient clinics.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a plan of care to promote optimal function and safety.
• Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and maintain accurate documentation of therapy services.
• Coordinate patient care with other clinical team members to enhance overall patient outcomes.
• Maintain current knowledge in speech-language pathology and promote professional standards.
• Respect and treat all patients, families, visitors, and colleagues with dignity and professionalism.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of therapy plans.
• Manage resources efficiently, including supplies and patient billing, to support the department's goals.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education to stay updated on the latest practices and technologies.

Requirements

• Master's degree in speech-language pathology or equivalent from an accredited institution.
• NYS license as a Speech-Language Pathologist, required.
• BLS certification, required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist is preferred.
• New graduates can be considered with a clinical fellowship year and a designated mentor.

Pay

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards. The pay range for this position is between USD $40.58/Hr. and USD $60.87/Hr.
