Responsibilities
- Provides speech-language pathology services by coordinating consultations and diagnostic evaluations with patients having known or suspected communication disorders and/or oropharyngeal dysphagia.
- Interprets assessment data and plans and performs speech-language pathology treatment intervention programs when appropriate that restore function, prevent disability, and help patients reach maximum potential.
- Provides patient care to all age groups including neonate, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
- Responsible for the supervision of rehabilitation technicians, students, and observers.
- May be responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
Qualifications
- Education: Masters Degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders from an accredited graduate school.
- Licenses and Certifications: CCC - Clinical Speech Pathologist from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), Licensure by the Georgia Board of Examiners of Speech/Language Pathology, BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA or ARC.
