Speech Pathologist ASP
Job Summary
Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language therapy. Responsibilities include performing therapy interventions, educating and counseling patients and families, maintaining clinical records, planning patient discharge, providing information about support programs, incorporating clinical trends, documenting changes in patient condition, identifying contraindications, demonstrating knowledge of diagnostic tools, seeking consultations, and ensuring quality patient care through maintenance of required knowledge and equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. BLS certification. Valid state license from AZ Dept. of Health Services/Division of Licensing Services. Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
- Priorities: American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) Certificate of Clinical Competence with completion of CFY. Specialties preferred but not required.
