Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join a pediatric therapy team. The SLPA will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapeutic services and support clients with speech and language disorders. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience working with pediatric populations, and a passion for helping children improve their communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Provide direct speech and language therapy services as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Assist with implementing individualized treatment plans for clients with speech and language disorders.
• Conduct speech and language screenings as directed by the supervising SLP.
• Document client progress toward treatment goals and communicate updates to the supervising SLP.
• Support the coordination of evaluation, treatment, and clinical activities.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain therapy equipment and supplies.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and professional development activities.
• Follow all applicable professional, ethical, legal, and state licensing regulations.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, Communicative Disorders, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of verifiable professional experience as an SLPA within the past 3 years. Relevant residency or clinical practicum experience may be considered.
• Active and valid California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) License.
• Ability to work effectively under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
• Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with pediatric populations.
• Experience in early intervention or school-based settings.
• Familiarity with evidence-based speech and language therapeutic approaches.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

• Pay Rate: $33.00-$35.00 per hour
