About the role
We are seeking a Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat patients of all ages in hospital (acute and swing bed) and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments, considering patient, family, and cultural backgrounds.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans with measurable goals.
- Utilizing standardized and instrumental evaluations to monitor progress.
- Providing patient and family education, collaborating with the healthcare team, and recommending appropriate next steps in care.
- Documenting all interventions in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Adapting intervention strategies based on patient performance and behavior.
Qualifications and skills
- Master’s Degree in Speech Language Pathology.
- Licensure as an SLP by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
- Excellent communication, assessment, and collaborative skills.
