About the role
Select Specialty Hospital is a critical illness recovery hospital committed to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who require extended healing and recovery. As a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), you will play a central role in providing compassionate, excellent treatment during some of the most vulnerable moments of patients' lives.
Schedule
Per Diem/PRN — 1-2 days per week or more, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30/4:00 PM.
Pay
$55 per hour (PRN rate). Sign-on bonus of $2,500.

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive evaluation of communication skills and/or swallowing function.
- Deliver goal-oriented treatment to facilitate maximum communication and/or swallowing potential.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide quality patient programming.
- Participate in monitoring the quality of services provided by the Rehab Therapy Department.
- Contribute to peer review for staff performance and appraisals.
- Assist in developing the SLP role in programs and services, as well as revising departmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain an adequate stock of supplies.
- Share professional knowledge and experience with the team.
- Alert the Manager to educational needs.
Requirements
- Current state licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Certified BLS or completion within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech Language Pathology from the American Speech-Language & Hearing Association.
