About the role
Provides speech-language therapy services to patients in a skilled nursing facility setting.
Responsibilities
- Assesses patient needs and develops individualized treatment plans
- Administers and interprets tests to evaluate speech and language abilities
- Teaches communication strategies and techniques to patients and families
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
- Maintains accurate records and documentation of patient progress
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
- Current license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in North Carolina
- Experience in acute care settings preferred
Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Skills
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems
- Knowledge of various communication disorders and treatments
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress
