Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) In House (FT PT or PRN)

About the role

Evolve Therapy Services is hiring compassionate therapists to provide in-house Speech Language Pathology services at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Newport, TN. The role involves planning, organizing, developing, and directing speech therapy services in compliance with federal, state, and local standards to ensure high-quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech therapy services and initiate referrals as needed, following established standards and productivity guidelines.
• Evaluate and gather data to create and implement treatment plans, including target lists, short-term, and long-term goals.
• Instruct patients, families, and staff on speech-language procedures to support therapeutic goals in daily activities.
• Complete compliant and medically necessary documentation in NetHealth EMR systems, adhering to CMS expectations.
• Oversee and implement protocols for FEES/MBS (Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing/Modified Barium Swallow) with coordination of site programs.
• Participate in screening protocols to ensure resident needs are met in a timely and clinically excellent manner.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC).
• Active SLP license in the state(s) of practice.
• Ongoing continuing education and professional development to maintain licensure and certification.
