Speech and Language Pathologist

Gersh Autism is seeking a skilled Speech and Language Pathologist to support children ages 5-21. Key responsibilities include promoting optimal function, collaborating with other disciplines, and providing therapy and evaluations.

• Provide speech and language therapy/evaluations for various disorders
• Collaborate with families and other professionals
• Implement behavior management techniques
• Write evaluations and progress reports
• Conduct consultations and collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders
• Current NY license TSSLD certification preferred
• Prompt experience preferred

Working Conditions

• Location: Onsite at our school in Bronx (may require travel)
• Hours: Monday – Friday / 8:00AM-3:30PM, with occasional extended hours
• Setting: School/classroom setting

Physical Requirements

• Ability to keep students safe and implement CPI procedures
• Ability to lift and assist students (up to 50-65 pounds)
• Ability to remove oneself from potentially harmful situations
• Ability to work in a high-stimulation environment
• Ability to multi-task and make quick decisions
• Ability to exercise sound judgment and decision-making

Pay Range

The Pay Range For This Role Is 90,000 - 105,000 USD per year (Brooklyn)
