Employment Type: Per Diem (Variable)

Pay

Pay Range: $35.00 - $60.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

  • Affirms the needs of pupils with speech or language disorders and matches them with programs available through the educational system.
  • Reports progress to faculty members and meets with them on a regular basis to discuss their evaluations of students' skills as demonstrated in class performance and social interaction with other students.
  • Develops individual speech and language programs based upon assessment results.
  • Participates in the eligibility and planning required for development of the IEP when a communication disorder is present.
  • Repeats evaluations on a regular basis to measure progress according to professional guidelines.
  • Create and access multiple types of databases; utilize internet-based IEP document programs (such as Special Education Information Systems-SEIS or SIRAS); able to create documents using MS Office Power Point, Excel, and Word.
  • Travel to school site within assigned region.
  • Attend IEP meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

  • Valid California SLP License / CTC Credential or eligibility for a state waiver
  • A valid license/RPE issued from Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Board, California
  • Maintain a valid driver’s license or the ability to obtain transportation between job sites, is required
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred
