Speech Language Pathologist (SLP)
Join our team as a School Speech-Language Pathologist in Oregon! We are hiring for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in students' lives through speech and language therapy services.
About the role
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide speech and language therapy services to PreK-12 students, helping them develop communication skills and overcome speech and language disorders. This role is full-time (37.5 hours/week) for the 2025/2026 school year, starting as soon as possible. The position is 100% remote.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of students' speech, language, and communication abilities.
- Develop individualized therapy plans and goals based on assessment results and students' needs.
- Provide direct therapy services targeting articulation, phonology, language comprehension, fluency, and pragmatic skills.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational teams to support students' communication goals in classroom and other settings.
- Incorporate evidence-based techniques and therapeutic activities into sessions to promote speech and language development.
- Monitor students' progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.
- Document therapy sessions, progress reports, and relevant information accurately and in a timely manner.
- Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and provide input on students' speech and language needs.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Oregon (support provided for licensure).
- Current ASHA certification.
- Passion for working with K-12 students in a virtual setting.
- Experience providing speech-language therapy services in a school or pediatric setting.
- Proficiency in assessment tools and therapeutic techniques used in pediatric speech-language pathology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Experience in teletherapy (preferred).
- Knowledge of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems and assistive technology (preferred).
