Position Summary
The Camdenton R-III School District is seeking a professional responsible for evaluating, diagnosing and treating communication, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing disorders in students of all ages. Qualifications
- Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders, Communication Science or Speech Pathology.
- We may consider a candidate with equivalent preparation (defined as 21 hours in five speech/language areas, 25 hours of observation and 25 hours of clinical assisting or practicum).
- Pass all background checks and screenings.
- Preferred Qualifications: State licensure and often certification from organizations like ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association). Eligible for Substitute Teaching Certificate, with MO Teaching certificate preferred.

Essential Functions And Key Responsibilities
- Conducting screenings and comprehensive evaluations to determine the nature and severity of speech, language, and swallowing difficulties.
- Designing and implementing individualized therapy plans, including, for example, strengthening muscles used in swallowing or improving articulation.
- Treating voice, fluency (stuttering), social communication, and cognitive-communication disorders (e.g., memory, reasoning).
- Selecting and teaching the use of communication devices for individuals with limited or no speech.
- Educating clients, families, and caregivers on how to manage communication and swallowing disorders.
- Recording evaluations, tracking progress, and updating treatment plans to meet regulatory standards.
Additional Duties
Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Student Services Director and other Central Office administrators as designated by the Superintendent.
Terms Of Employment
- 9 months (179 days)
- Begins at $44,500 and commensurate with experience and degree level

Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's Policy on Evaluation of Professional Staff.
