Speech Language Pathologist - Schools

Full-time, school-based position. In-person required; hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days virtual) may be considered for the right candidate.

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in a school-based setting. This position requires an SLP who enjoys working collaboratively with educators, families, and related service providers to help students achieve their communication goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations, assessments, and therapy services.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student needs.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions.
• Complete required documentation and maintain compliance with state and district guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, parents, and related service providers.
• Monitor student progress and adjust service delivery as appropriate.
• Support students across multiple school sites as assigned.

Workload & Caseload Information

This position may support a caseload of approximately 80-90 students. However, services are managed using a workload model, which considers the full scope of responsibilities rather than focusing solely on caseload size.

• The focus is on the entire role, not just the number of students assigned.
• Responsibilities include:
  • Direct therapy services
  • Evaluations and assessments
  • IEP meetings
  • Documentation and compliance tasks
  • Collaboration with teachers, families, and support staff
• Student service frequencies vary based on individual needs. For example, some students may require therapy several times per week, while others may only need services for 30 minutes once per month.
• The goal is to create a realistic workload that allows clinicians to provide meaningful support to students.

Requirements

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Active state SLP license or eligibility for licensure.
• ASHA CCC-SLP preferred; Clinical Fellows may be considered.
• Previous school-based experience preferred but not required.
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
