Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, with Master’s Degree preferred
  • MA Certification in Speech and Language

Performance Responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic services to students with a wide variety of speech and language disorders and delays both individually and/or in groups for K-12.
  • During the 2026 academic year, services primarily at the Brackett Elementary School.
  • Performs diagnostic evaluations and implements treatment plans in relation to student needs.
  • Collaborates with classroom teachers and other school staff members to implement effective therapy that integrates student's program.
  • Serves as a consultant to school staff members in the development of services.
  • Participates in IEP meetings and parent conferences.
  • Responsible for goal writing and serving as a liaison for IEPs.
  • Provides consultation to the Learning Team in the school building.
  • Provides inclusionary services at the elementary level.
  • Keeps thorough records of the individual student receiving services.
  • Provides supervision to assigned SLPA.

Job Goal

To deliver a variety of services in speech and language and complete assessments for the purpose of educational planning.
