Speech Language Pathologist, Home Health Per Diem

About the role

Provides assessment, treatment, care, and evaluation for patients with cognitive, speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders. Gains confidence and cooperation from the patient, their family/support group, and other healthcare providers through competent patient assessment, attentive monitoring and care, and effective communication. Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations, codes, policies, and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care. Assists with clinical supervision of assistants and aides, and serves as clinical instructor for assigned students.

Requirements

• Master's degree: Graduate of an accredited speech pathology program
• 2 years recent relevant experience
• Licensed Speech Pathologist (SP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification
• Valid Driver's License (DL)
• Automobile Insurance (AUTO)

Schedule

• Per Diem/Casual (variable days and hours)
• Shift: Days, 8 hours per shift
• Weekend requirements: As needed

Pay

Pay range is $67.28 to $94.19 per hour. The compensation range may vary based on the geographic location where the position is filled. Total compensation considers multiple factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure, certifications, departmental equity, training, and organizational needs.

Additional Information

Employees of Sutter Health and its entities may handle hazardous drugs in the course of their work, including patient care, which requires them to manage, store, prepare, receive, unpack, transport, dispose of, or administer drugs identified as hazardous or potentially hazardous by the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) and in accordance with the USP 800 guidelines.

This is a non-exempt, per diem/casual position with no union affiliation and no benefits package.
