Speech Language Pathologist

Full‑time Speech Therapist position at a Skilled Nursing Facility in Far Rockaway, NY.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality speech‑language pathology (SLP) services, including evaluating patients, screening, initiating referrals, obtaining data, and following through with the plan of care.
• Complete timely documentation, including progress notes, screen reports, daily notes, and discharge summaries.
• Demonstrate knowledge of short‑term and long‑term SLP care.
• Instruct patients, family members, and staff on goals, progress, and appropriate therapeutic techniques.
• Ensure compliance with protocols and regulations.

Experience and Qualifications

• Valid New York State license and Certificate of Clinical Competency.
• Preferred knowledge of Rehab Optima.
• Experience with cognitive and dysphagia rehabilitation within a skilled nursing facility.
