Speech-language Pathologist Assistant K-5 - GJMS/ASHS - 1075

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide direct speech and language therapy to students individually and in small groups under the direction of the supervising SLP.
• Implement treatment plans targeting speech, language, fluency, social communication, and functional communication skills.
• Support students using augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) systems.
• Prepare therapy materials and maintain a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and related service providers to support student success.
• Assist the supervising SLP with evaluations and other assigned duties.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in Communication Disorders with 95 hours of supervised practicum.
• Maine certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
• Maine Department of Education certification and fingerprinting.
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
