Responsibilities
- Write and implement all components of an Individual Education Plan (IEP).
- Use a variety of reading and math strategies to meet the needs of exceptional students.
- Organize teaching, assessments, IEP meetings, and professional collaboration to meet all local, state, and federal requirements for special needs students.
- Communicate effectively with parents and hold structured IEP meetings to meet all requirements.
- Use students' academic performance data to make accurate decisions addressing student needs.
- Maintain regular attendance.
- Interact with students.
Requirements
- Special Education Teacher Endorsement codes: 066, 067, 069, 086, 105, 144, 145, 460, or 461.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Critical thinker, team player, and collaborator.
