SpED Paraeducator - Support Center (SC)
Contract type: Continuing • 6.5 hours/day (average) • 190-day calendar
Pay
Hourly salary range: $30.89 – $37.99 (annualized and spread through August). Step placement on the KAP Salary Schedule is based on verified years of experience in an educational unit.

Requirements
Prior to starting, candidates must meet the minimum employment requirements for paraeducators in Washington State through one of the following:
- Associate (AA) degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- 72 college-level credits from an accredited institution.
- A score of 455 or higher on the ETS ParaPro Assessment plus proof of high-school completion or equivalent.
If you do not yet meet one of these qualifications but are willing to take the ParaPro Assessment, you may still apply; the chosen finalist will have the opportunity to take the test before formal hire.
Post-Hire Requirements
- Complete state-required training offered through the KSD Professional Development Team.
