About the role
The role involves providing educational support to students with special educational needs in a school setting.
Responsibilities
- Support students with individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assist in classroom activities and group work
- Provide emotional support and guidance to students
- Work closely with teachers and other school staff
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid teaching license or equivalent certification
- Experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Passing scores on relevant standardized tests
- Background check clearance
Skills
- Knowledge of special education methodologies
- Ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Proficiency in using assistive technology
