Special Education CDC Teacher responsible for writing and implementing all components of IEPs (Individual Education Plans) for exceptional students.
Requirements
- Endorsement codes: 105, 461
- Ability to write and implement all components of an IEP
- Must use a variety of reading and math strategies to meet the needs of exceptional students
- Strong organizational skills to schedule teaching, assessments, IEP meetings, and professional collaboration to meet all local, state, and federal requirements for special needs students
- Strong communicator with parents, able to hold structured IEP meetings to meet all requirements
- Critical thinker, team player, collaborator
- Able to use students' academic performance data to make accurate decisions to meet student needs
- Knowledge of Special Education
- Flexible and team player
- Must maintain regular attendance
- Must be able to interact with students
