About the role

This position is for a Special Education CDC Educational Assistant at LaVergne Lake Elementary in La Vergne, TN. The role is full-time and requires working under the direction of a certified teacher to support small groups of students.

Requirements

• Hold an associate's degree or higher; OR
• Have an equivalent of two years of college coursework totaling 48 hours at an accredited institution of higher learning; OR
• Pass the Education Testing Service (ETS) Para-Pro Assessment
• Working computer knowledge
• Multi-tasked oriented
• Firm, team player
• Must be able to work with small groups of students for the purpose of reinforcing skills, answering questions, and providing constructive academic feedback
• Must be a positive role model for young children
• Excellent attendance
• Able to follow oral and written instructions
• Establish effective schedule and work routines
• Able to work under the direction of a certified teacher and complete assigned work-related duties
