Specimen Processing Lab Support Tech, Midnights

About the role

The new state of the art Regional Clinical Laboratory at Loyola Medicine is seeking a Lab Support Service Tech to support patient care through specimen processing and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Supports the delivery of patient care through the receipt, processing, and routing of specimens.
• Provides customer friendly service to any person requesting supplies or information by phone, computer or in person.
• Performs assigned duties from the pre-analytical to post-analytical phases of testing according to standard operating procedures.
• Receives and evaluates all specimens to ensure positive identification and appropriateness of sample.
• Works with fellow team members to properly triage and efficiently move samples through all phases of testing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Less than one year of previous job-related experience
• Preferred: Associate's degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or education
• 1-2 years of previous job-related experience

$20.00 – $21.00 per hour

Midnight Shift: 11:00pm to 7:30am Monday- Friday with rotating weekends and holidays among team
