Specimen Collector II- 1710

Description

The Specimen Collector II role at Millennium Health LLC involves collecting and processing patient specimens, including urine and oral fluid samples, for shipping to the laboratory. Key responsibilities include:

• Collecting and processing patient specimens
• Serving as an intermediary between clinics and the laboratory
• Recording patient information and physician order details
• Resolving specimen concerns through the billing or patient information portals
• Ordering and maintaining collection supplies inventory
• Observing collection procedures for Millennium Health specimens (when applicable)

Requirements

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years of experience in the medical field, directly supporting patients (preferred)
• 2+ years of customer service experience (can be considered in place of medical experience)
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer
• Valid driver's license required; reliable transportation
• Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes (plus)
• Ability to ensure HIPAA, HiTrust, Confidentiality and Compliance policies, procedures, and standards are adhered to
• Ability to ensure administrative, physical, and technical cyber security controls are adhered to
• High School diploma or equivalent required

Pay

$20-23/hr. Salary offered is dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
