About the role
Responsible for collecting and transporting specimens from various locations to ensure timely and accurate laboratory testing.
Responsibilities
- Collect and transport specimens in accordance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure all specimens are properly labeled and documented.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and patients regarding specimen collection procedures.
- Handle specimens with care to maintain integrity and prevent contamination.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to specimen handling and transportation.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
- Experience in specimen collection and transportation preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills.
- Physical ability to lift and move specimens as needed.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and specimen handling procedures.
Skills
- Proficient in using medical equipment and supplies.
- Ability to operate a vehicle safely and efficiently.
