About the role

Provides investment and asset management services for Specialty Wealth Assets (real estate, closely held entities with real estate as an underlying asset, Mineral/Oil/Gas interests), held in fiduciary accounts on the Wealth Management platform of CNB and RBC. Functions as an asset and investment manager, including oversight of property operations (e.g., third-party service provider selection, performance, retention, rent collection, expense payment, maintenance activities) and managing transactions and asset-level projects (acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, environmental conditions, capital expenditures). Completes all asset-level regulatory and reporting requirements in accordance with established policies, procedures, and direction.

Provides support to the relationship team by offering asset-level expertise and coordinating communication with colleagues, clients, tenants, managers, general partners, officers, and third-party service providers regarding activities and issues at the asset level. Considers investment objectives, account circumstances, performance, concentration issues, and profitability from a fiduciary perspective while administering assets. Partners with client-facing colleagues in proactive client service, communication, and sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Provides asset and investment management services for an assigned portfolio of Specialty Wealth assets held in fiduciary accounts, adhering to investment guidelines and regulatory frameworks.
  • Manages the portfolio while mitigating risk and following established company and department policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Completes all regulatory and internal requirements associated with the assets in the portfolio, such as annual reviews, inspections, valuations, document retention, and audit inquiries.
  • Oversees operations at the asset level, either directly or through third parties, including asset performance, income collection, expense payment, and repair/maintenance activities.
  • Recommends and implements (with appropriate approvals) strategies for Specialty Wealth assets, incorporating the client’s investment objectives, account size, asset mix, liquidity, and account circumstances.
  • Facilitates transactions and projects for Specialty Wealth assets, including acquisitions, dispositions, exchanges, leases, and capital expenditures.
  • Collaborates with the relationship team, clients, managers, general partners, officers, operations services, attorneys, brokers, appraisers, and other industry professionals to facilitate asset-level activities.
  • Coordinates and communicates specialty wealth asset activities with assigned Trust Officers and other relationship managers.
  • Participates in meetings and presentations to promote product and service awareness among clients, prospects, and referral sources.
  • Maintains a “Satisfactory” internal and external audit review.
  • Complies with policies to identify and resolve environmental issues and ADA compliance issues.

Requirements

  • 7 years of property/asset management (residential or commercial) experience.
  • Fiduciary experience is a plus.
  • 7 years of experience analyzing industry investments, including operating statements, market data, offering memorandums, and relevant third-party reports.

Qualifications

  • Proven communication, analytical, negotiating, and sales skills, coupled with computer literacy.
  • Strong attention to detail and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work in a multi-task environment with oversight.
  • Works effectively both within a team and individually.
  • Professional credentials such as CPM, CCIM, or other recognized industry designations preferred.

Pay

Starting base salary: $92,114 - $156,880 per year. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. This job is eligible for bonus and/or commissions.
