As a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative, you will act as the primary customer contact, implementing marketing strategies and promoting Amgen products under the guidance of the District Manager. Responsibilities

• Provide current and comprehensive knowledge of Amgen’s products and effectively communicate their clinical benefits to medical professionals to drive appropriate utilization.
• Achieve territory sales by delivering branded sales messages, conducting planned programs, scheduling and following up on medical educational programs, and meeting or exceeding sales targets through both in-person and virtual engagement.
• Develop and manage customer relationships, customizing interactions based on understanding customer needs, ensuring product access, resolving reimbursement issues, and maintaining product contracts.
• Provide feedback on marketing strategy, analyze business effectiveness of sales activities, and develop territory plans in partnership with the District Manager.
• Partner with colleagues to share best practices and continuously grow as a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative.
• Demonstrate passion for Amgen’s products throughout the sales cycle while keeping patient impact at the forefront.

Requirements

• Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree, or Associate’s degree and 4 years of sales experience, or High school diploma/GED and 6 years of sales experience.
• Senior Specialty Representative: Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience in a healthcare/scientific field, or Associate’s degree and 6 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience, or High school diploma/GED and 8 years of sales experience and/or clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of sales experience within pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industries.
• Product or hospital sales experience in oncology, nephrology, dermatology, rheumatology, inflammation, cardiology, neurology, endocrinology, hepatology, gastroenterology, or infectious diseases, including knowledge of related diseases and treatments.
• Local market knowledge and established relationships in the territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration (preferred).
• Adaptability in core competencies: planning and organizing, leveraging business/industry/technical knowledge, communicating with impact, driving for results, and cultivating internal/external relationships.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $89,880 – $121,602. The expected annual salary range for Senior Specialty Representative in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is $115,949 – $156,872. Actual salary will vary based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
