About the Role

As a Style Consultant at Target, you'll be part of a team that delivers exceptional guest experiences through strong operations, visual merchandising, and a guest-first culture. This role is perfect for someone passionate about apparel, accessories, and creating inspiring shopping environments.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by executing visual standards, promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable about assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory, and guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push merchandise to the sales floor, and locate products in the backroom.
• Set visual presentations and follow merchandising guides to enhance the guest experience.
• Maintain product availability through priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Organize the backroom to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as products sell through to keep the shopping experience inspiring.
• Support price changes and clearance merchandising, including signing execution.
• Manage fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise is returned to the sales floor.
• Maintain a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance.
• Support guest services, including backup cashier, order pick-up, and drive-up, while adhering to compliance standards.
• Greet and assist guests, providing a welcoming and helpful experience.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and through multiple frequency devices.
• Proficiency in operating handheld scanners and other technology equipment.
• Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly and efficiently.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.

Physical Demands

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise, frequently lifting up to 15 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements, including Drive-Up and carryout duties.
• Remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts.

Pay

Starting Hourly Rate: $16.00 USD per hour

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture.
• Understanding of retail business fundamentals, including sales trends, inventory management, and pricing strategies.
• Knowledge of industry trends in style, seasonality, and brand differentiation.
