About the role

Working at Target means helping families discover the joy of everyday life. As a Style Consultant you will meet guests where they are, deliver strong operations, provide an incredible guest experience, and create compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket.

The role offers the opportunity to develop guest‑service fundamentals, retail business fundamentals (sales trends, inventory management, pricing and promotions), and industry knowledge of style, seasonality, and brand differentiation. You will set, fill, and price the floor according to what matters most to the guest.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and maintain a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory ownership, and apply that insight to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and follow visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through, using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising and signing execution.
• Use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests, and ensure merchandise from fitting rooms returns to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, report hazards, and correct them when possible.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills and ability to operate multiple‑frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capability to resolve guest questions quickly.
• Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurate cash register handling when needed.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; frequently lift or move items up to 15 lb and occasionally lift or move items and fixtures up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.25 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. Reliable and prompt attendance is required.
