About the role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual‑merchandising presentations, and attentive service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves ensuring the floor is fully stocked with the right products, accurately priced and signed, and presented in a way that inspires guests to discover and purchase.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations & visual‑merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute & maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance‑merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use the fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from the fitting room and guest service is worked back out to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Work safely; comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training; report hazards and correct them where possible.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to help solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know we’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Maintain focus and composure in a fast‑paced environment while accomplishing multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely; frequently lift or move items up to 15 lb and occasionally up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Reliable and prompt attendance; flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) required.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carryout.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.
