Starting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour.

About the role

Working at Target means helping families discover the joy of everyday life. Style Consultants meet guests where they are, delivering strong operations, an incredible guest experience, and compelling visual merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. They ensure the floor is fully stocked with the right products, accurately priced and signed, and provide assistance on the sales floor and in fitting rooms.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signage execution.
• Use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests, and ensure merchandise from fitting rooms returns to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting with and helping guests and team members.
• Thrive in a fast‑moving, physically demanding environment that requires teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, frequently lifting up to 15 lb and occasionally up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Capability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift and work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout).
• Reliable and prompt attendance.

Skills

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Proficiency with multiple‑frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills, both independently and within a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
• Capability to stay focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes.
