Starting hourly rate: $16.25 USD per hour. Pay range: $16.25 – $24.40 USD per hour.

About the role

Style Consultants at Target deliver strong operations, an incredible guest experience, and compelling visual‑merchandising presentations that inspire guests and build the basket. They welcome and help guests on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, ensuring the floor is fully stocked with the right product, accurately priced and signed.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and maintain a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory, and apply that insight to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Organize the backroom, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through, using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising and signing.
• Use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests, and ensure merchandise from fitting rooms returns to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report hazards and follow safety policies.
• Assist with guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup, and drive‑up, while complying with applicable laws.
• Greet guests, engage in a welcoming manner, and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business requirements.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to operate multiple‑frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills, both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to resolve guest questions quickly.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurate cash register handling when needed.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 lb regularly and up to 44 lb occasionally without assistance.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, days, or shifts—including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Reliability and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout).
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
