About the role

Target is seeking Style Consultants who understand how to meet guests where they are and deliver strong operations, an incredible guest experience, and compelling visual‑merchandising presentations that inspire shoppers and drive sales. As a Style Consultant you will welcome guests on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, ensure the floor is fully stocked with the right products, accurately priced and signed, and help guests discover style quickly and easily.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales and inventory ownership and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and visual‑merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance‑merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service is returned to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance at all times.
• Work safely, comply with all safety policies and training, and report or correct hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order‑pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑Up (DU) while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks.
• Engage with guests in a welcoming way to solve their specific needs.
• Thank guests and let them know you’re happy they chose to shop at Target.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Enjoy interacting with and helping guests and team members.
• Thrive in a fast‑moving, physically demanding role that requires teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem‑solving.
• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices, operate handheld scanners, and use other technology as directed.
• Effective communication skills; able to work both independently and with a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly and remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb up and down ladders safely.
• Scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting or moving items up to 15 lb and occasionally up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Reliable and prompt attendance; flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays).
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carry‑out.
• Maintain mobility for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $15.50 USD per hour.
