About the role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, visual merchandising, and helpful service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves setting, filling, and pricing the floor, maintaining product availability, and supporting guests throughout their shopping journey.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service is worked back out to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting them, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as needed based on business needs.

Requirements

• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to lift or move merchandise up to 15 lb regularly and up to 44 lb occasionally without assistance.
• Ability to climb ladders and work at heights.
• Ability to stand, walk, and remain mobile for the duration of a shift; exposure to varying temperatures and humidity.
• Accurate cash register handling when needed.
• Compliance with safety policies and federal, state, and local regulations.

Skills

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills; ability to use multiple‑frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Quick resolution of guest questions.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.50 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times. Reliable and prompt attendance is required.
