About the role

Target is looking for a Style Consultant who understands how to meet guests where they are and deliver strong operations, an incredible guest experience, and compelling visual‑merchandising presentations that inspire shoppers and drive sales. The role involves welcoming guests on the sales floor and in fitting rooms, ensuring the floor is fully stocked with the right products, accurately priced, and properly signed.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and deliver a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational & promotional signing, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales, inventory ownership, and use them to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and visual‑merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance‑merchandising best practices, including signing execution.
• Maintain and use fitting rooms as an opportunity to welcome, inspire, and help guests.
• Support fulfillment and guest needs by ensuring merchandise from fitting rooms and guest service is worked back out to the sales floor throughout the day.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as back‑up cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, engaging to solve their needs, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform all other duties based on business needs.

Requirements

• Thrive in a fast‑moving, physically demanding role; teamwork, flexibility, and creative problem solving are essential.
• Open to a flexible schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts (including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times).
• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward all guests and team members.
• Ability to communicate on multiple‑frequency devices and operate handheld scanners and other technology equipment as directed.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Resolve guest questions quickly.
• Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and accomplish multiple tasks within established timeframes.
• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise efficiently and safely, frequently lifting or moving items up to 15 lb and occasionally up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Reliable and prompt attendance; flexible work schedule (nights, weekends, holidays) required.
• Ability to work in and be exposed to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing duties such as Drive‑Up and carry‑out.
• Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.50 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
