About the role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual merchandising, and attentive service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves setting and pricing the floor with the right products, sizes, styles, and colors, while supporting guests throughout their shopping journey.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and maintain a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory ownership, and apply that insight to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and follow visual merchandising guides to enhance guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Organize the backroom, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as items sell through, using best practices to keep the shopping experience inspiring.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising and signing execution.
• Use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests, and ensure merchandise from fitting rooms returns to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report hazards and follow safety policies.
• Assist with guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Greet guests, engage in a welcoming manner, address their needs, and thank them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

• Effective communication skills, both independently and within a team.
• Capability to resolve guest questions quickly.
• Ability to stay focused and composed in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks within established timeframes.

Physical requirements

• Accurately handle cash register operations as needed.
• Climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely; frequently lift or move items up to 15 lb and occasionally lift or move items and fixtures up to 44 lb without assistance.
• Maintain reliable and prompt attendance.
• Work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout areas).
• Remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $16.00 USD per hour.

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
