About the Role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual merchandising, and attentive service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves ensuring the floor is fully stocked with the right products, accurately priced, and signed, while helping guests discover style that fits their needs.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and maintain a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Use store tools to understand sales and inventory ownership, and apply that insight to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and follow visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through, using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising and signing execution.
• Use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests, and ensure merchandise from fitting rooms returns to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, report hazards, and correct them when possible.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pick‑up (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Ability to operate multiple‑frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology equipment.
• Effective communication skills; ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capability to resolve guest questions quickly and remain focused in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to lift or move merchandise up to 15 lb regularly and up to 44 lb occasionally, climb ladders, and stand or move for the duration of a shift.
• Flexible schedule availability, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Reliability and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other environmental conditions (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout areas).
• Accurate cash register handling when needed.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $17.00 USD per hour.
