About the Role

A Style Consultant at Target delivers an incredible guest experience through strong operations, compelling visual merchandising, and attentive service on the sales floor and in fitting rooms. The role involves ensuring the floor is fully stocked with the right products, accurately priced and signed, and creating inspiring in‑store presentations that enable quick self‑discovery for guests.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales and maintain a guest‑ready floorpad by executing visual standards, inspirational and promotional signage, and staying knowledgeable on assortment and brand offerings.
• Leverage store tools to understand sales and inventory ownership, using the data to solve and support guest needs.
• Sort truck freight, push freight to the sales floor, and locate merchandise in the backroom based on business needs.
• Set visual presentations and follow visual merchandising guides to support guest experience and sales.
• Maintain product availability and a full floorpad by executing priority fills, manual fills, and merchandising to capacity.
• Execute and maintain backroom organization, locating merchandise to support replenishment, fulfillment, and guest requests.
• Remerchandise presentations as they sell through, using best practices to deliver an inspiring shopping experience.
• Support price‑change processes by executing clearance merchandising best practices, including signage execution.
• Use fitting rooms to welcome, inspire, and assist guests, and ensure merchandise from fitting rooms returns to the sales floor.
• Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely, follow safety policies, and report hazards.
• Support guest services such as backup cashier, order pickup (OPU), and Drive‑up (DU) while maintaining compliance with adult‑beverage laws.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests, assisting with their needs, and thanking them for shopping at Target.
• Perform other duties as required by business needs.

Requirements

• Strong interest and knowledge of apparel products and accessories.
• Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members.
• Effective communication skills; ability to use multiple‑frequency devices, handheld scanners, and other technology as directed.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capability to resolve guest questions quickly and remain focused in a fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to climb ladders, scan, handle, and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 15 lb regularly and up to 44 lb occasionally without assistance.
• Flexibility to work varying hours, days, or shifts—including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.
• Reliable and prompt attendance.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements (e.g., Drive‑Up, carryout areas).
• Capability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Accurate cash register handling when needed.

Pay

Starting hourly rate: $17.00 USD per hour.

Schedule

Flexible work schedule with varying hours, days, or shifts, including nights, weekends, holidays, and other peak shopping times.
